Exceptional Children's Department

Welcome to Ms. Kreitz's Resource Room webpage!  I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with your child this year.  I believe communication is KEY and I look forward to getting to know you as we work together to help your child grow.

In my class, students receive instruction in the areas of reading, written expression, and/or math in small groups.  Each child has an Individualized Education Program (IEP) that specifies what skills will be taught and the level of service time that (s)he will receive those services.  Therefore, my schedule varies daily based on the needs of my students.  The IEP Team meets at least once each school year to review the IEP and develop new goals and objectives.  However, keep in mind that we can meet at any time to discuss a child's IEP.

My goal is to teach students strategies they can apply in many other settings.  Some strategies might include good study habits, how to read for meaning, and social/behavioral skills.

Please be aware of your rights in the Handbook on Parents' Rights.
