My name is Daragh Boland (pronounced “Dara”). I am a graduate from The State University of NY at Oneonta. I obtained a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education for grades N-6.
I have substitute taught in many grades, became a Remedial Reading Specialist when I first moved to NC and served hundreds of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in Davidson County, NC, then went on to teach second grade for many years at Wallburg Elementary School.
After an unexpected move to Florida I became a first grade teacher in Lakeland, FL. During my time in Florida I finished my Master’s Degree in Educational Curriculum and Instruction.
Upon my return to NC (much to my delight), I obtained a job teaching fifth grade at Fair Grove Elementary School. After a year at Fair Grove Elementary School, I was able to return "home" to Wallburg Elementary. It is with honor and humility that I eagerly look toward the coming year in fifth grade at Wallburg with great excitement!
