Assistant Principal Page
I am honored to be your new assistant principal! I am a proud alumni of Wallburg Elementary and I feel like I am coming back home to where my education all began!!
I graduated from Ledford High School and went on the attend college at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
After college, I returned home to Davidson County to enter the classroom as a 2nd and 3rd grade teacher at Churchland Elementary for four years. I taught for several years and then became a proud mother of three children. I worked full time as a stay-at-home mom for 6 years and then returned to the schools to support all children as a reading specialist/lead teacher and district instructional program specialist for the past 12 years. As my education career was growing, I went back to get my Master's degree from Gardner-Webb University in Educational Leadership. I am passionate about helping students grow and use their potential to be successful in all that they accomplish as they go through their lives.
Wallburg Elementary School has dedicated teachers who provide the best education for their students offering best practices in their classroom. Our staff works collaboratively to analyze data and then plan remediation as well as enrichment activities. We aim for all students to be ready for the transition to high school and be college ready.
Please contact me with any questions or concerns regarding the transportation for your child. The safety of all students is our top priority; therefore, we are proud to have bus drivers who maintain bus safety procedures each and every day.
It is a pleasure to serve you!
