JoAnn Pope

Hello everyone!

 

My name is JoAnn Pope. This is my first year at Wallburg! I am so excited to be here!  During Open House everyone was glad to see me and told me what a great a school Wallburg is.  I definitely believe it!  I have enjoyed every day so far!  The students are amazing!  We all have a good time laughing at me when something does not go like I want it too. The students are quick to  help me.  They laugh  with me.  I think 5th grade is my favorite now.

 

I have been in education over twenty years. I started as a teacher assistant in Guilford County. I received a scholarship to UNCG.  I finished my Bachelor of Science degree in 2011!  I have always wanted to be a teacher.  I had wonderful teacher when I was in school. Teaching is my calling and my passion! I want students to be successful!

 

I have two children and a grandson  My son, Joshua will be 32 on September 23rd.  My daughter will be 30 on the 12th of december.  My grandson will be two at the end of January. 

 

I am having a wonderful year here at Wallburg!  Thank you for making me feel at  home!
