Hello Wallburg families! I am so excited for what this year holds for our Wallburg Lions! I have been so impressed by our students, staff, families, and community, and I can't wait to see the amazing things we are going to accomplish this year!

 

My goal is to support all students, staff, and parents to ensure that we are all successful.  I want to see everyone grow and reach their potential, and be the model for maintaining a positive outlook and attitude. I pride myself in forming relationships with students and families, and my hope is to be the catalyst to foster personal reflection, goal setting, and sustained growth in everything that we do.  We have amazing things happening here at Wallburg, and we can't wait to celebrate these things with you.

 

A little bit about myself - I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Western Carolina University and got my Master's degree at Appalachian State University. I have been a classroom teacher in first, second, and third grades, as well as an interventionist in reading and math in all grades.  Prior to joining Wallburg, I was a Curriculum Facilitator and Instructional Coach.  I have lived in Davidson County for 9 years, and this is my 7th year in DCS, but my 26th year in education.  I am thrilled to be your Assistant Principal!
