WELCOME

My name is Johnathan Hanic. This school year I am teaching 4th grade math. I have taught for the past 14 years with Guilford County Schools, ten of them in 2nd grade. I am excited to be at Wallburg Elementary and to be part of the Davidson County School system.

I have a varied education, beginning with high school graduation in 1985. I attended WSSU, UNCG, and Holy Apostles College & Seminary (Cromwell, CT) from 1985-1993. I received a B.A. in Philosophy in 1983. I later attended St. Mary's Seminary and University (Baltimore, MD) 1997-2002 and received a B.S. (Sacred Scripture) and a M.Divinity. I ultimately attended Salem College (Winston-Salem) (2010-2013) where I earned a M.A. Teaching, specializing in Special Education.

I have a passion for teaching & learning and greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with young people in assisting them as they grow in wisdom and intelligence.
