Reading Question Stems

My challenge to you throughout this year is to make reading fun for your child at home! I encourage you to select books they are interested in reading. After reading, the following stem starters will help your child grow in their reading comprehension.

Students are expected to show proof of evidence in their reading when asked a question.  They use these sentence starters in class when writing in their reading response journals.  The responses help them to show proof or evidence in their reading when writing a response.  They are also working on retelling the story in their own words.
