Classroom ABC's

The ABC’s of Mrs. Shytle’s class

Absences: if your child is absent from school, an excuse note is due within 3 days of the absence in order for it to be excused.

Behavior Chart: This year we will be following the PAWS behavior policy. Students will be reminded to always show PAWS behavior while in the building.

       P: Positive attitude

     A: Accept Responsibility

       W: Work hard

      S: Show Respect

We will use the star clip chart in our classroom to track our behavior. Every day each student begins on green(4 stars). Throughout the day students have the chance to move their clip up or down on the chart according to their behavior choice. Positive behavior choices allow students to move their clip up. Inappropriate behavior causes the clip to move down one level.

Students are acknowledged by their positive behavior. Students feel the sense of accomplishment when they make good choices and clip up. Students who clip down always have the chance to improve their behavior and move up their clips throughout the day.

Students will record their behavior in the agenda each day. Please check the agendas and sign each night.

Students will also have a behavior card. They will receive punches according to their behavior each day. When their card is filled up they will get a chance to go to the treasure box.

6 or 7 stars= 3 punches

5 Stars= 2 punches

4 stars= 1 punch

Less than 4= 0 punches
