Transportation/Absences

Transportation: Bus riders who need breakfast should go straight to the cafeteria to pick up breakfast and *currently bring it to the classroom to eat while air conditioning repairs are occurring as of 9/5/2023. Car riders who are dropped off at 7:20am MUST report to the gym. Kids can hang out with Coach Fahning until the 7:30am bell at which time our third graders MUST go through the FRONT entrance of the main building, down the Kindergarten hall, and then out to the pod. ***Please, if your child is a car rider, do NOT send them from the curb/drop off line straight over to the pod. They need to go through the FRONT main entrance, down the Kindergarten hall, and out to the pod. ***IF your child is a car rider in the afternoons and you are in need of more car rider signs. please send me a message on class dojo and I will request them from our administration and send them home with your child!

Transportation Changes: Please adhere to the guidelines in your child's agenda in the rules and procedures section. We must receive a written note explaining your child's change in transportation for the change to occur. For lasts minute situations, please call the front office at (336) 769-2921 and that way a message is relayed to me so that I can make sure your child gets in the bus or car line per requested.
Absences (planned for a trip/vacation during the school year): Your child has up to 5 days to complete missed classwork while absent. I cannot send assignments ahead of time because your child wouldn't be here for the instruction in order to know what to do/how to complete the work therefore I do not send work with a student ahead of a planned absence.
Absences UNplanned/UNexpected: Please let me know on class dojo OR send in a written explanation for your child's absence(s)  so that they may be coded excused. We do have an attendance expectation; if your child is not in school then it truly affects his/her academic performance. On the other hand, if your child has a fever, they need to be at home, fever free, for ***24 hours*** before returning to school. Your child can make up the work over the course of the 5 days upon return to class.
